Which Goldpaw Garment is right for me?Updated 13 days ago
Warmth can definitely feel different depending on the dog, their coat type, activity level, and weather.
The Stretch Fleece is a single layer of soft, stretchy fleece that fits snugly against the body to help retain heat. It’s a versatile, year-round piece—great for cool weather, layering under another coat, or active dogs who don’t need heavy insulation. On its own, it’s not intended for extreme cold but works beautifully as a base layer or for milder temperatures.
The Duluth Double Fleece is two layers of our classic fleece! Technically, this is our warmest garment - however it is not water resistant. Perfect for keeping your buddy warm and cozy during cold temperatures, it can also be layered under water resistant pieces (like our Rainpaw and Winterpaw) for damp and wet conditions. If your friend is between sizes or at the top of the size range, we recommend sizing UP for this style as the two layers make it a bit less stretchy.
The Portland Pullover is the best of both worlds—a hybrid design of our classic Stretch Fleece covering the belly and our waterproof Winterpaw fabric on the back. It offers warmth where dogs need it most while still protecting against wind and weather.
The Rainpaw is a waterproof jacket with buckle closure. It’s great year-round for longer-haired dogs, and for short-haired dogs during warmer-season rain. Cold rain + short fur? Layer this jacket over our fleece for added warmth.
The Winterpaw is a fleece-lined waterproof and windproof jacket, designed specifically for cold-weather use. Many customers use it comfortably for snowy walks and winter outdoor time, even in colder climates like Minnesota. The outer shell helps block wind and moisture, which adds significantly to its warmth.
The Flight Suit is lightweight, durable, and designed for full freedom of movement. For thick-coated dogs, the looser fit allows their natural insulation to do its job, creating a windproof and waterproof barrier, while still letting their fur puff as needed. It’s ideal for keeping dogs clean and dry—no muddy coats, wet fur, or burrs. For short-haired dogs in colder weather, it layers well over a Stretch Fleece.
The Ski Suit is fleece-lined through the body like our Winterpaw jackets. It’s designed for cold-weather use and provides solid insulation for winter conditions. Many customers use it comfortably for snowy walks and outdoor time in colder climates like Minnesota. The outer layer also helps block wind and moisture, which adds to its warmth.
